MALNUTRITION

Malnutrition is a condition in which the person has consumed inadequate or excessive intake of nutrients, difficulties in digestion, inability of the body to metabolize. The unbalanced and improper diet results in malnutrition. Poor absorption of food and excessive loss of essential food nutrients also results in malnutrition.
Apart from the above mentioned reasons, there are other reasons also for malnutrition. Some of the major reasons are:

• Starvation is one important cause of malnutrition.
• Indigestion of essential vitamins in the body also leads to malnutrition.
• Low level living conditions, bad quality of drinking water, food is also responsible for the malnutrition. The cases of malnutrition are common in third world countries and developing countries.
• Consumption of same kind of nutrition over the period of time also causes malnutrition. The practice causes "Obesity".

Dietary supplements are vitamins, minerals, herbs and other additional nutrients which help to maintain nutrition level in your body thus keeping you healthy and fit. They are available in the form of pills, capsules, powders and liquids. They are an additional resources of nutrients to provide nourishment to your body. They are suggested to consume only when you need additional supplement diet.

Dietary supplements generally includes Vitamins and Minerals required by your body in small amount but they are necessary components for normal growth, function and health. They are helpful if you do not get nutritious and balanced diet. Dietary supplements can't replicate all of the nutrients and benefits of whole foods, such as fruits and vegetables.

It is a branch of manufacturing that transforms raw animals, vegetables, or any other eatable materials into tasty, nutritious and safe food products. Food processing includes all the steps from food harvesting period to the time it arrives to the market. Food preservation has different processes like picking, sorting and washing etc to preserve the food. Processing involve an extremely complex set of techniques and ingredients to create safe and eatable food. These food preservation techniques destroy proteins and enzymes etc which are responsible for spoiling the food.

The preservation has its own importance. Generally, preservation of food is done during the month when the production is in bulk and available in large quantity. This is the most important reason of food preservation is to preserve the excess production of food.
